An Australian drummer and was a member of the rock band Sherbet.
Sandow was born in Adelaide and attended Newington College.
The 'classic line-up' of Daryl Braithwaite on vocals, Tony Mitchell on bass guitar, Garth Porter on keyboards, Alan Sandow on drums, and Clive Shakespeare on guitar provided their teen-orientated pop style.
Alan Sandow (ex-Daisy Roots) replaced Taylor on drums by July. Sherbet signed to the Infinity Records label – a subsidiary of Festival Records. The band's debut single was issued in March 1970 as a cover version of Badfinger's "Crimson Ships" – from that band's January 1970 album Magic Christian Music.
